bomb diggity

I woke up and did my morning routine of being half asleep on the porch while Joy goes potty and read all of the blog updates in the cyber world. I did that and wished I was funnier. I also have decided that I need colorful metal chickens.
I am also looking for volunteers to help yarn bomb suburbia any takers ? I think it is unfair that the "city" gets to have all of the cool things and yarn bombing in the middle of a west county subdivision is way cooler. It's cooler because most of those people will not know why in heavens name is there a sweater on that tree.
working on the dundee collection but since they will be gifts in the future I will only "pin" pictures of them so those that do not see Pinterest will be surprised.
I'll post pictures of my own beyonce when I hit up the garden ridge

Projects 101- slight obsession

so I put myself on that yarn diet and planned on making baby blankets out of leftover yarn from previous baby blankets, naming them after the original children, and selling them. I started with"the Natalie" I was very fun to make and the real Natalie LOVES the blanket I made her 4 years later and that shit is torn up but it looks loved. Her Bday is this week so I think I will just send her the New "Natalie" blanket and I sell nothing. I think she will like it I mean it has flowers on it

I mean look at those flowers!!!

Which brings me to my next newest obsession. Flower scarves. I found it on that pinterest site damn pinterest. and I ended up NOT being on a yarn diet but instead purchasing 900 skeens of yarn to make little bitty flowers out of. I am currently working on "sunshower" ( not sure why I started naming projects but I like it ) I have looked hi and low for patterns for crocheting flowers and am happy with only 2 of 90 I tried but I do need fillers so we will keep them all right?
There is moer I found the crocodile stitch and I think I will start that one after this one. So many yarns not enough time I think I need to quit this nursing gig and do my true calling - ADHD crocheting

Vacation and ideas

So vacation 2011 is all done. I don't know what life will be like having to go back to work again but I guess I will make it somehow.
We went to Michigan , and I mistakenly thought the weather would be better than home, I guess it was, but it was not what I was thinking. I did not plan on sitting in 96 degree heat with no AC. Aside from that and the insane people in Michigan it was fun. I loved having everyone including Joy there. That dog is so funny I love her little personality and at times I get a glimpse on what life would be like to have a kid that sees me as it's mother. There were a few moments while walking that I looked ahead to my little family and felt so lucky.

I also was introduced to a website called pinterest. I am addicted and it is all Laura Mannings fault. I have been exposed to thinks I can make with modpodge, mason jars, soooo many hairstyles, and so so so so many crafting ideas. So many.
Now I have purchased mason jars, scrapbook paper, and am afraid that if I actually purchase modpodge , no surface is safe.

this is a baby block that I will call a "bubby" fill it with cotton and it makes a nice security item

this is Gowri's blanket I made fo her. It also was the first blanket I madde that lined up correctly on all sides and was difficult to part with
this is Nolan's baby blanket. It too loned up on all sides but may be heavy for a premie baby. Hopefully he grows into it and enjoys it still.

yarn diet

I have been making blankets for what feels like everyone recently and had a good long look at my rather LARGE selection of yarn. I have a MILLION little pieces of this color and that color, an ass ton of red and pink yarn not very much white etc etc. I like making yarnny things for other people. In fact I think it is better said that I like GIVING yarnny things as I do not own any of my own work. I will post pictures of my newest creations that have found new homes when I figure out how to get them off of my camera and on to my blog :) Needless to say, I am now putting myself on a yarn diet. I cannot, under any circumstances , purchase more yarn until I have gone through this array of primary colors. What does one DO with little pieces of many different colors of yarn?
